Muay thai for health


Of course one of the things Thailand is popular is Muay Thai, Thai kick boxing. It has become very popular in many parts of the world now. It is also known as “The Art of Eight Limbs” . It uses eight points of contact 2 hands, 2 shins, 2 knees, and 2 elbows.

Obviously when a person takes on Muay Thai he is learning to fight. That may not be what you are looking for but, there are many other benefits. Some of the health benefits associated with training for Muay Thai. The training will build coordination, strength, agility, and will greatly increase a person’s cardiovascular capacity.
When a person engages in Muay Thai they will see their physique change. They will increase their metabolism and quickly burn fat it has been known to burn about 800 calories per hour, does your treadmill do that? It will release the “feel good” chemicals in the brain called endorphins which boosts your mood and happiness. It will give them a lean well-proportioned physique. Muay Thai will develop strong hips and core. It is a great conditioning workout that will help in everyday life, whether it be going to the grocery store and picking up items, or engaging in other sports.
