| The Bulgarian Bag is a fitness tool that I really enjoyed learning about.
When I first heard about it, I thought, well I know enough about fitness, seen enough that I should be able to pick this thing up and work it out, but I got control of my arrogance and decided to go to a course with the originator of the education, Steve Nave.
Steve turned out to be the most inspiring coach and his development of the techniques and use of sports movement science was really amazing.
We made an iphone app later on that teaches how to use the bag - for those of you who are looking for something really ground breaking and really effective, I strongly recommend the bulgarian bag.
I wrote a short article about it (see the link), but really the video is better to watch.
The sports science behind it is really sound - I'll be writing a more in depth article soon around concepts of 'Ground Reaction Force' and 'force vectors' 'myo-fascial lines' and 'Iso-kinetic' exercise - but so far everytime I start I realise it's going to take a long time to write something simple enough to be fun to read but that also does the actual exercise mode justice by explaining the science and the benefit to the athlete properly.
In the end I think the video in the app explains it best for now. Follow the link to my blog on my website for a link to the app on the i tunes app store or just search Pocket PT Bulgarian Bag and you'll find it.
Buying the bag is worth every penny, Kettles bells are good, the bulgarian bag though is genuinely incredible for its physical results and its application to athletic training and performance. This is just an introduction - more in depth article coming very very soon.
